AI procurement training — open session or in-house · 1 day · on site

AI procurement training. Craft first, the assistant inside.

One day to work with a procurement assistant as a professional, not as a curious visitor. You leave able to give it a proper instruction, break down a tender on total cost, prepare a negotiation and challenge a supplier's answer, knowing what you can hand over to it and what you must never hand over. Run by a career buyer, on a single case study, with the Yxalo assistants in your hands.

Next session: Tuesday 30 March 2027, Lyon, confirmed on registrations €890 excl. VAT per participant, lunch included 8 to 12 participants

Who it is for

Buyers who have an assistant, or are about to.

Buyers, supply planners and procurement managers of SMEs, mid-caps and service companies. Hands-on procurement experience is enough, even at entry level. No technical knowledge of AI is required: this is not a course about artificial intelligence, it is a buyer's course with an assistant.

What you will be able to do

Five moves, measured on entry and on exit.

Give a professional instruction

Turn a vague request into an instruction the assistant carries out the way a buyer expects.

Break down a tender on total cost

Beyond the headline price, compare three bids on what really costs.

Prepare a negotiation, play it without a screen

The assistant prepares the positions, the buyer negotiates face to face.

Challenge a supplier's answer

Spot, in a non-conformance report you receive, what is missing and what does not hold.

Know what you hand over, and what you never do

Tell apart what is allowed, framed and forbidden, and write your own three-line rule. The three confidentiality levels →

Run by a career buyer

Years of procurement in industry and services, and the Yxalo assistants he had built. The assistant prepares, the buyer decides and signs.

The format

One day of workshops, on an industrial SME case study.

In the morning, understand what an assistant changes and learn to talk to it; in the afternoon, negotiate, challenge, then work on your own file. You produce in the room, in pairs and in simulations. Everyone leaves with their instructions, their cost breakdown table, their confidentiality rule and the certificate of completion. The detailed programme is provided on request. Open sessions are run in French.

Frequently asked questions

In plain terms.

Do I need to know about AI?

No. You do not learn how AI works, you learn to work with a procurement assistant on the moves of the craft: break down, negotiate, challenge.

Which tool do we work on?

On the Yxalo procurement assistants, provided during the session. In-house, on your own assistants once installed at your site.

What about our data?

In open sessions, we work on a fictional case. In-house, on your files, within your company's confidentiality framework, presented in the room.

How is it different from the "Buying IT services and software" course?

This one teaches how to work with an assistant, across all purchases. The other teaches how to buy IT, over two days. See the IT procurement course →
